What are your traffic sources
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hey guys

I had a good traffic from google for the last year until the end of April 2012. when the new Google update "google penguin" took place

no i am trying to get back to my old ranking but i need some other traffic sources that i can work on for now.

I have tried

* social media like facebook, and linkedin with some other network marketing social media sites.

* email marketing
* solo ads

but it's not working

So could you share your traffic sources that work for you.

Thanks

You should find this post helpful:
http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...c-sources.html

But although there are some traffic sources better than others, understand there's not a "magic" traffic source that will automatically result in a bunch of sales. This depends on many factors, but particularly how well you target your leads, your offer, and how well you present your offer. Hopefully you are building a list, following up and testing where you are getting the best conversions from.

I'm probably split 50% google and 50% referral on all my sites due to the number of relevant backlinks I build.

Is your website content based? Did you add new content since then? Have you figured out why you were targeted by Panda?

Hey Jossefsal, If you're looking for quick targeted traffic, I would say Google adwords.

LinkedIn and other social media works, but only if you're contributing consistently. It takes time to build trust and be recognized as an expert.

Find out where your BEST prospects hang out, and put yourself in front of them consistently.

The key is to find many ways to market yourself so that you're NEVER relying on just one media. Good Luck!

Solo ads work but you need to only send to a direct squeeze page and if you think 500 clicks is enough you're wrong. Send thousands of clicks to start seeing results.

Hi, Jossef: I've experienced the same thing. I agree with those who recommend to use a variety of traffic methods so you get some from each.

What works best for me is when I am active in my favourite forums and social sites. Auto-posting links from blogs, etc., is not enough. A person has to be there interacting with others and making their presence known. When I do that, I see my traffic stats improve for that day.

Re: What are your traffic source

Another way I am setting up to help get traffic is through article marketing, and using a social marketing plugin.

I have 5 Snipers that I input my articles to, and each article is submitted over a period of MONTHS (slow and sweet) to approximately 700 EDU, ORG, GOV blogs and wiki's on at least 5 different blogging platforms. This allows me to present a varied set of links to my money pages.

The social marketing plugin is a good idea as it allows you to post your blog articles, and then it will place a link on 10-15 different social media sites everytime you post to your blog or blogs. This way, you only have to do the work ONCE and you can get maybe 10 backlinks for each post.

Now that I'm retired and working FULL TIME from home, I have time to completely revamp every single EMD I have.

If you have the TIME... my suggestion is to write YOUR OWN ARTICLES, make one article into a Squidoo lens, another article on hubpages, another on LinkedIn, turn an article into a YouTube Video ... etc.

Do really good keyword research and don't over due the "make money" links. Vary your hyper text links on your spun/rewritten articles so that you have non money making keywords as well... such as Home Business, Click Here, Make Money Online, Check This Out, Make Money From Home, Really Good Info Here, etc.... all these hyperlinks should be at the TOP of your submitted articles for search engine indexing/backlinking to your primary site, or to a specific page on your website/blog.

DO NOT USE SPUN - REWRITTEN articles on these high end social media sites. Only use ORIGINAL, never before published articles. You may want to find a quality outsourcing area and have unique high quality keyword rich articles written for you.

ONLY put one article per keyword on these social media sites. DO NOT put the same article on any other site - including your own blogs. Also, don't put up 5-10 Squido lenses etc... on these Social Media sites. Put up one lens/article a week, or every two weeks. You don't want your backlinks to appear as "Not Normal".

Then, knowing your articles are ONLY on a HIGH PR site ONE TIME, this will you get the full might of Google because your article(s) are so unique, they only appear ONE time on the Internet (until you get others to make comments etc - valid, high PR backlinks).

It takes time, as you are aware, to get back what you have lost. IMHO, if you take it slow, and do this, your traffic, and your position in the search engines should turn around and be better than before.

One more thing you may want to look into, and it's FREE, is get a Linklicious account and link it to your blogs. What this will do is take each of your posts and place them in a "pool" of other links for Google to index. Google spiders this site continually on a daily basis, and it's a quick free way to get your posts etc indexed faster. If you go STANDARD or PRO, your links will remain available until Google has verified they have indexed them.

The majority of my traffic comes from guest posts on very established sites in my niche. They really bring in the traffic.

If you are willing to brand yourself then I have found nothing better for cheap traffic than Traffic Exchanges. People in this blog are going to tell you to stay away from them which is fine that leaves more sales for people that know how to work them.

I get on average 70% or so unique hits every week and in the thousands. If you are willing to give something a good effort you really can't beat it.
