Site Improvement Ideas

This thread "Advice For Best Theme For My Site" was for some good reason closed. But Jeffery was still discussing very great ideas on site improvement, particularly on pages and navigation structure. I felt it very necessary to open a new thread to continue with the discussion. I have a strong desire that Jeffery continues to be a main contributor to it.

Home page improvement

As regards the vital improvement to make on my site, I scratched my head to find the kind of improvement to make on the home page. However, I really couldn't get to it so easily. But I have had the following thoughts:

Change the home page title so that it matches with the site meta, content and adverts?
Remove the 2 pages of "Contact us" and "Friendly sites" and probably put them in the footer? Replace them with pages relating to the site's niche?
Change the text ads links underneath the image ads so that they link to the corresponding pages? But I have created only 2 pages in addition to the home page.
Remove the affiliate links I embedded in the content I wrote relating to the 5 advertisements?

Where am I right and where am I wrong? What is it exactly anyway?

Pages/categories

Jeffery, you promised to suggest some significant changes to the plan I presented on pages and categories. I am still eagerly waiting for your suggestions.
