With that said, there's a saying that goes something like this: "If it's too good to be true - it probably is"... There is a HUGE difference in having a banner on a site, and having a banner impression on a site. Banner impressions are just that, an impression of your banner on a website or blog. Impressions are measured by how many times your banner is displayed as either a pop up or a pop under impression. Now 1 Million impressions is a lot. That means your banner will be shown approximately 5000 times on each of the 200 websites. Sound too good to be true?? Some major draw backs to this - IMHO - is you have NO control over what website your impression is shown. You also may be in a "pool" of other impression buyers and it could take months or longer before your impression are shown. Impressions are rotated and depending on the amount of traffic to each site, your impressions could be used up quickly or very slowly. These impressions are being shown on the company's websites, so I be willing to bet that most of the people that see these impressions are buying impressions themselves. How many people do you think would be interested in PIPS on say "Daisy's Flower Shop", or Tim's Fish & Tackle" or "Jims Jerkey"?? While you may get impressions, if the sites your banner is being shown on has no relevance to what you are promoting, you can have a BILLION impressions, with virtually 0% CTR. Banner impressions means nothing if people don't click through to see what is being offered. Does this "offer" provide you the CTR for the websites they are placing your banner on? If not, you may be wasting your money. Do you know if your impressions are being placed on sites that will be relevant to your offer? If the sites have zero relevance, you'll probably get zero click throughs. I'd be interested in your "success rate" once you have been notified your 1,000,000 impressions have been completed.
