Hi Everyone I know there are the standard traffic generation methods. Blogging, Article Marketing etc. But does anyone have any secret methods? Personally, I get alot of traffic from Yahoo Answers - how about everyone else? Thanks Dave |

I suppose - it's not just the method though, it's how you use it! For example - anyone can answer questions on yahoo - but there are certain ways to do it! The same may be true of you tactic... |

Hi Dave, (What a great name,) I had not thought about Yahoo Answers. Thanks for that, however I have tried some traffic generation systems that promise quick results and found that their promises have been way off the mark. There are too many affiliate marketers out there competing for sales so I believe that success is a long term goal and comes from following the advice we get in this forum. That is SEO, blogging, writing articles, building up backlinks etc. This gives experience and credibility. Dave |

This is so anti-Warrior, anti-PIPS and just about every other decent internet marketing company I have seen in 5 years, that I was a little shocked. It's a free will we have, this is true and you are entitled to yours, but remember 'what goes around comes around', and 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. Think about where we would be if nobody successful ever shared FREE of charge, their techniques? Don't be afraid to give away things for free - almost every successful person has done this and because they have by so doing built relationships, that is the very thing that made them successful. ... just sayin'.

Hi Dave (The best name going I think?!) I completely agree. I wasn't talking about disregarding the the main, long term methods of traffic generation - just other means which aren't as well known, or that you have found beneficial. Like my example - yahoo answers. It builds backlinks with the added benefit that the question you are answering can be highly targeted - i.e I want to work from home - does anybody know of anywhere I can learn about it? Now, I wouldn't go ahead and force my site in their face and tell them to sign up, but if you offer help then usually people trust you. Now, to me, building relationships isn't a short term measure. That person may sign up to my list and it gives me a chance to help them long - term. Commercially, if they trust me and my judgment, if I recommend any products, they would be more inclined to use or buy them - which then helps me earn commissions long term. Does that make sense Dave

Not so secret, but... YouTube seems to work to generate traffic.
