Will someone kindly offer me some assistance here. Using the guidance from the ebook, in day 22, of the 30 days to success guide - I have managed to put in some keywords and make some minor changes to my site, then in my webepanel, I changed index.html to indexold.html and I uploaded the new index.html. Problem? When I view my site through my web browser, the old index.html is still displayed - not the new updated one. Does anyone know what I possibly may have done wrong? Any input on this will be greatly appreciated? |

I don't know but when I did this I changed my index.html to indexhtml.old. This leaves no chance for the index to come back and haunt me when I don't want it to. This may not be the way the pro's do it but it worked quite well for me. You may also want to pull up the index.html that you have reworked by clicking on it and let your browser open it before you copy it to your web site. This should tell you if your changes have taken. If you get the same as your original then for some reason your changes were not saved. Make sure that your are using a text editor and not a word processing program to change this file as the word processor may not work right. Bright Blessings TheTiny1 |

Thank you very much for your response. I, however, now believe the problem lies with my browser - Firefox - because the correct index.html is displayed in my signature strip and also if I browse using internet explorer. The old index.html is displayed if I browse using Firefox. Has anyone else experienced this? |
