Traffic Swarm???
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I was surffing Traffic Swarm and another TE last night. When I clicked to go to the

next ad, they froze. Aslo other tabs that were opened. I closed everything. When I

started over Traffic Swarm sent me to the login page. I got the invalid login message.

I have not changed my password or e-mail address. Nothing I did got me anywhere.

I sent my e-mail address for login information. This time I got the message that my

e-mail was not registered. This got me worried! Does Traffic Swarm have a problem today

or do I have a

problem with TS. I haven't encountered any login problems elsewhere.

Hi Pansy

I am not having a problem either. Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch when you were surfing.

Cheers for now

Try to clear your cache when things like this happen. Check out the doc below for other possible issues but clearing your cache and/or running a cleaner will usually resolve this type of thing - although don't know why they don't have your email address...

------------------------------------------
CLEARING YOUR CACHE & Etc.

The link works fine when I use it. Check you PC clock time and date to make sure they are correct. (In Windows this is in the Control Panel under ‘Date and Time’)

If it still doesn't work, and you are not in the USA, try to set the clock to US Eastern time when you have problems on the internet. The time difference can cause you not to be able to connect to some websites.
The World Clock - Time Zone Converter - Australia – Queensland – Brisbane vs U.S.A. – California – Sacramento

Other suggestions:

Check Security/Privacy in Windows and any 3rd Party Security you have on your system, particularly with regard to advertisements if you are having a problem with your graphics/banners not displaying. You could have it set not to show you your own advertisements! J

You may need to clear your cache and then try again.

In Internet Explorer from the Tools Menu:

* Internet Options/General/Browsing History
-- Delete
-- Cookies/Temporary Files/History
-----------------------

In FireFox, Tools Menu:

*Advanced - Network Tab
- Cache - Click ‘Clear Now’ button

* Privacy - Private Data
- Click ‘Clear Now’ button

* Privacy - Cookies
- Show Cookies
-- Click ‘Clear Now’ button

=============
You may also need to reboot your computer now.

(You should do these things on a regular basis - weekly or so)
-------------------------------------------------------

OR the long way if you don't use Explorer,

In Windows, find your version's equivalent of the following:

* Control Panel/Internet Options/Delete Files/Delete Offline Content, Delete Cookies/Clear History.

* Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Clean Up/Delete all Temporary Files

* Reboot your computer.

------------------------------------------------------

Security Settings

Add the site domain - pluginprofitsite.com - your website or the afifliate progams to your 'trusted sites' settings in Windows/Internet Options/Security - (again this can also be done from Internet Explorer)

As well, if you have 3rdparty security like McAfee or Norton or anti-spyware, etc., add the domains to those programs where you are 'trusting' the sites.

This is a likely reason - Check to see if you have a setting in your security software that says not to display advertisements on sites that you visit. I could not see banners on my own site until I unchecked this setting. Banners are advertisements.
------------------------------------------------------

Browsers

One thing that may help is if you do not use the browser from your internet service provider; only use it to log on to the internet and then minimize* the browser. Open up Internet Explorer and use that for anything you are doing on the internet. *Minimize is the little minus sign icon at the top right corner of your browser - this puts the open window down on your status bar so you can jump back and forth between browsers.

Also be sure you have the latest version of Internet Explorer, (you can go to Microsoft Update and see what the latest version is by searching on ‘internet explorer’ there. (check your version in the Help menu under ‘About Internet Explorer’.

You may also try to use Mozilla FireFox browser instead of Internet Explorer. Download Mozilla FireFox from Mozilla.com (free download)
------------------------------------------------------

Down Under etc.

Because Australia and surrounding areas are sometimes literally on a different day than in the US, this can cause some websites at times to not display. The trick here is to set your PC clock to US Eastern Standard time. This sounds silly, but it does work for our Australian members. Just a thought...
------------------------------------------------------

Registry Cleaner

Go to CCleaner - Home and download the free registry cleaner tool. Run this tool if nothing above helps and then reboot your computer.

You should also run this at least every few weeks to a month depending on how active you are on your computer/internet.

I cleared cookies, files, history and temporary. Didn't let me login. I sent my e-mail

address again and again I got that it wasn't registered. I was in the middle of surffing

and the next ad I clicked on didn't budge. I live in the US. No more time now will try again later.

Hi pansy,

have you contacted Trafficswarm support?
Karla Wieber (karla.wieber@oceansideten.com) is the person who helped me twice when I had problems. Although, if that was a general problem, they might be a bit busy.

I had a similar problem, it seems to be that Trafficswarm had a problem with the anti-cheat links. In the last few weeks, if I didn't click any link for a while, all links turned to anti-cheat links, but yesterday that didn't happen and I clicked on one link which obviously didn't say "Don't Click" nor anything similar, and I my accound was blocked.
Lucky enough, after an e-mail to Karla the thing is now sorted and my account works again, but it was not a very pleasant experience.

Hope that helps..

All the best!

TrafficSwarm is having some definite problems. I too ran into the anti-cheat page after hitting a legitimate link. Karla sorted it out as far as my account goes, and she assures me that the problem has been sorted, but I just now got the anti-cheat page again. They have obviously changed something with their software that is causing this, as this has never happpened before and I've been using TS for a couple of years now. :rolleyes:

I have started using TrafficG to see if it's any good and what kind of traffic I get, so we'll see about that. I truly hope TS will get their act together, as I prefer them to other exchanges.

Hello,

I just now tried to login to Traffic Swarm again. I got in!! Last night when I tried I didn't.

So I sent a message to their support. I didn't get a response tho. I guess they are busy

getting this mess fixed. I spend alot of time trying to figure what was the problem.

There were no other problems elsewhere so it seem to be just with TS. We do expect

everything to work right, don't we. HA HA Thanks again for all the responses. I sure

felt that I was out on a limb all alone.

Hi Pansy,

No problem.......glad to help....

Sometimes people get hung up on when a certain program isnt working etc. What I try to do is go to another aspect of my marketing campaign to keep my focus and then if there is a glitch in a system when I check back its working...

I have seen it time and time again where people get stuck on what to do when they hit a roadblock...

I just drive around it

Take care

I agree - I have had several people on the helpdesk that 'flunked' the anti-cheat tests because they just didn't know what they were clicking or not clicking. Some are forgiven for an innocent mistake.

...but yeh it would seem lately there has been a rash of these and something must have tilted their detectors.

Pansy here again. I can surf but I noticed that my credits weren't being used.

I checked on my ads and they have been disabled. I hadn't thought to check them until

just now. I have unchecked the disable box. Were the ads disabled automaticly when

all this got messed up? Does anyone else still a problem with TS?

WOW! I must be a rare bird I have been a member with TS since Aug. 2005 and I have never had these kind of problems and I surf my 250 clicks everyday. Since I joined I can say that I have not missed more than maybe 6 or 7 days of surfing including holidays. Also TS has always replied to my e-mails.

The one thing that I do see "Everyday" is that many PIPSTERS are still not checking their links to be sure that they work correctly and when they do not the surfer is automatically rerouted to Stone's page so you are running ads just to promote his links. Which I agree is better than the surfer getting an error page. They may have signed-up if not for an error page.

We have had many topics on this here in our forum in the past and it is very easy to check your links by simply clicking on your own ad inside your member page once you post any new ads then scroll to the bottom of the sales page to be sure your name and not Stone's is there. Other wise you are using your ad credits to help him get sign-ups instead of yourself.

Regards,
Roy

Hi,

I have been a member of TS for years....6, 7, maybe 8 and have never had these issues. However I dont surf as much as other people so perhaps thats a reason.....

I do have a traffic exchange that is owned by a former PIPSter and I will post a link in the advertising forum....

Take care

Re: Traffic Swarm???

I have had this same problem with TrafficSwarm at least three different times. I contacted customer service who told me there was nothing wrong with my account and it all worked on their end. They suggested I clear out my cache etc... which I did, and it did not help. After much back and forth, and the only alternate solution from customer service was to open a new account... which I preferred not to HAVE to do. I began using an alternate exchange - begrudgingly -to keep moving forward. After a few months upon checking back in, all seemed to be working again... so I again began working with TS... now, this is the 3rd time I have been locked out. It is increasingly frustrating. I have not been able to determine if there is anything with my computer that is causing this, but I'm shopping for a more reliably consistent TE now.

If you are using FireFox as your browser and they have added 'No Script' you have to 'temporarily allow' the page or you will be locked out - unable to do anything on whatever site it is.

If this is the case, you need to find the little S with a line through it top or bottom of screen and right click to get the drop-down menu to allow the page.

With that said it can be a security issue with your 3rd party security program where you have to add TS as a trusted site.

If you have tried everything you can to login to Trafficswarm and still cannot get in, then maybe it would be better for you to login somewhere else, like easyhits4u. What do you think?
