Old People on the Internet!?
Share on:

Should they let Old People on the Internet!?

Here is a very funny vid from YouTube. I picked this up on Twitter.

Move over, Susan Boyle! (This one's for the ladies - be prepared to lose your heart to this guy! lol)

And I KNOW what Patricia is thinking! NO! This is NOT an updated video of ME!! (Not that I will admit, anyway.)

(I do think this guy gives a good example of how to market yourself to get attention.)

Pretty Cute -

You could see the guy was good looking about 50 years ago - I know the feeling.

Now I know what to do with my hair.

Hi:

I think his name is edarem and when you find him on YouTube, he has a whole bunch of videos. I think he may have been an actor well known in some circles at one time.

(And in some ways, he does look an awful lot like my own 85-year-old dad ... so ... someday ... looking in the mirror ... :-0 ... Oh, no!)

LOL - I was thinking of Nosfetaru (spelling) if you have ever seen the really old classic Dracula movies. The guy is a twin of that actor - all he would need is some 3 inch long snap on fingernails. (Translyvania is/was in Hungary after all!) mawhahuahahahua

Matt and Patricia, so true, so true on both accounts! lol

But you know, it's a shocking contrast when you hear his actual voice - so gentle and ... normal! He has quite a sense of humour and a sense of entertainment. If you get a chance to look him up on YouTube, do so.

That's what I meant when I said earlier that he is good at marketing himself (although, I don't know if he is selling anything). He has numerous other videos posted there and he's getting quite a lot of attention.

Thanks for your comments, everyone. I still laugh at the video, but you know what? The guy kind of grows on you. He has a bunch more videos posted on YouTube and he's quite a comic.

GT, thanks for doing this one, I sent it to my wife and mother inlaw, and I haven't heard them laugh like that for a while.

Tiny1, that's exectly how I forwarded it. A while ago my mother inlaw joined one of those chat sites for people over fifty, and I teased her about it, but also said what the heck, the Internet is a good way to socialize for those that can't afford to get out. Then when I saw the video, I titled the e-mail, I found a guy for your mom on the internet.

They phoned right away still watching it and still laughing.

Ah, the power of laughter.

Hi, all:

I still find that video amusing ... but the more I look at it and compare him to me ... the more similarities I'm starting to see! I have seen my future ... oh no!

Oh my word. This wonderful elder gentle-man has had over 20,000 views on some of his videos. Ashley27 I know you probably didn't mean that in a deragatory way but it came off that way. Some of us "Grandpa's and Grannies" were on the internet before it was the internet. I built, soldered together, my first computer in 1975, I doubt you were born then. (You avatar is that of a pretty, young woman, cute).

GT, don't fear getting older, it's better than the alternative. Some of us look in the mirror and remember ourselves as 30 something, and don't know who that older person looking back at us is, OH yes, we are internet marketers extraordinaire.

What a wonderful guy. Thanks for introducing us to him GT. If I had his voice I'd be making a million dollars voicing stuff for IM Guru's, (the high-voice-squeeky-ones....ROFLMAO.)

What a set of pipes he has. And sense of HUMOR, there are a lot of 25 year olds that are not as happy as he is. Old and Happy, you can't beat that.

May you live for a thousand years,
Palo

No sig today.

Hello, Palo:

Thank you for such wonderful insight and information. I agree - and I think we are as young as we feel. I am a Grandpa with 4 grandchildren and I will soon qualify (55 in a few months) for the seniors discount in some local stores, but I feel much younger than my years suggest.

I see and hear some people complaining about "feeling" old, but if they would just take up a few interests to keep their mind and body active, I think they would start feeling younger before too long.

The Internet (and Internet Marketing) is a great outlet for this. A commitment to lifelong learning and continually working to develop new skills is one way to keep active and feeling young and with it.

I really like what you said about this old guy's "pipes" and his sense of humor ... and how it puts some 25-year-olds to shame! lol So true. Some young people are old before their time.

There are quite a few seniors on line, trying to start up new work from homes, especially since their 401Ks got robbed and since they are losing their jobs and the pensions that they paid into for years!

This video has to be one of the best things I've seen on the Internet in years! lol!
