Don’t be stuck with PIPS
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

PIPS a great way to start a home based business, but to make real money with your home based business you need to be deferent, unique and have your own signature on the internet.
With thousands of the same PIPS websites out there you are not unique.

Stone by building pips had a unique idea (for him it’d great) but he knows that to succeed with the home business you need to grow your business and change your identity.

Try to build your own site, and change your marketing.

You can find my site in the top of the search engines for long tail keywords, and you can find it jumping between the second and third page results for the “home business” keyword.
And that happen because I changed the way my website look like, the content, number of pages and combination of money making opportunities.

Get out of the cage, PIPS had given you the start point but you need to go from their your way.

I agree Jossefsal. PIPS has a lot of great features to it as a program and the one I have always like the most is you are in control of your own site and newsletter. You can do with it whatever you want including promoting other products and programs and making changes whenever you want too.

Hi,

I agree completely! Too many people get their pips site....and then 6 months later the site still looks the same...no original content, etc and then people wonder why they have not made money...

It doesnt work that way....."build" your business...dont just buy a site sit back and watch TV then wake up one morning complaining why you have not made any money....

Take care

Jossef, you hit the nail on the head!

The PIPS program is a great program to teach you HOW to get started and gives you a nice foundation to your business. The thing that people have to realize is that they need to make PIPS part of their business and not make PIPS their business.

PIPS is Stones business! Therefore, people need to make their own business and just make PIPS a part of it!

Nice post...

Hint to Pipsters: To make your own business, take what the 30 days teaches you and brand yourself on the Internet. Build something of your own, offer value to your prospects, give them a reason to listen to you and follow you! Become an expert is something and you'll be on your way to being an online success!

Have a nice day,

Bill Shultz

I definitely agree with what you said. I never built a website before in my life. I wanted something different outside the traditional pips site. I then started to learn how to build them on my own.

I now have built 10 of my own. And just got finished creating one for a client. A quick $1400 for doing it. And I have more lined up. This is the newest one I am working on for my MLM ventures... It still needs work but I will have it finished within the next couple days... MLM Outbreak | MLM Business Opportunity

So definitely don't stop with learning new things.

I totally agree with this. You will not even imagine my site is promoting PIPS or was a PIPS site four years ago.

PIPS is absolutely a great place to START. What you can and will learn in the 30 Days to Success, the WARRIOR FORUM and from the members in side the Forum can absolutely change your life for the better.

PIPS is a fantastic "learning tool" one that changed my life. Had it not been for my finding PIPS in October of 2005 I am not sure I would be where I am today.

Now that you are a PIPS member, it's time to branch out and find your own personal Niche. One that you enjoy, one that excites you and one that you honestly see yourself spending the majority of your time in.

Good post.

PIPS a great way to start a home based business, but to make real money with your home based business you need to be deferent, unique and have your own signature on the internet.

Stone by building pips had a unique idea (for him it’d great) but he knows that to succeed with the home business you need to grow your business and change your identity.
Interesting discussion as I don't believe it matters if thousands of others have the same site as you. Especially in the home business niche, PIPS sites make up a tiny fraction of the entire market.

However I do agree from an SEO stand point that making your site unique by targeting long tail keywords can help you establish yourself in competitive niche's.

I also think it is a good idea because (sorry Stone) the site is very amateur looking with way too many banners. Although I know Stone's intention was for people to send traffic directly to the sales page which clearly works.

There are plenty of marketers who are making millions of dollars a year selling other peoples products and services who have created no online identity at all. Thats what affiliate marketing and MLM marketing is all about.

The key in my opinion is developing a marketing strategy which you develop over time until it becomes successful.

For example if I am doing article marketing I need to develop an article marketing strategy, I need to now why I am doing this, how it works and map out the steps I am going to take. Repeat the process finding out what is working and what isn't.

If you are blindly following a business plan and you do not understand why you are doing what you are doing then it is extremely difficult to figure out where you are going wrong. If you are trying to drive organic search then make sure you learn SEO!

Thanks Jeff, I am not done with PPG. I just needed to get focused on my work which I am kicking ass in. Excuse the language. Instead of going down 1 road, my road has 20 exits and Im hitting them all. The only downside is im getting about 3 hours sleep a night.

As for the PPG, I will be back, because it is the best.

That's it. Duplicated pages are way less effective in climbing up search engine rankings.

You know I really like the way pips site looks and I will find some need for changes I'm sure, however, for now as a newbie I am just adding a tweak here and there that will be making it a little more unique but basically it is the same.
Besides it seems to me that if a person sees a similar site multiple times it is like branding the idea and is seems that they will be wanting to see what this product is and why it is so popular.
I could be wrong but this is my opinion.

Bright Blessings

if you want to stay on this business you need to have a site building tool like the site builder in my 3rd link in the signature or an HTML editor like front page.
don't start your website with free template or even paid template, start a simple layout with wight background, use a header (your own, you can use free one but add at least a logo to it with your website title.
use a simple menu with two columns page.
start with the simplest page and start to learn and add features, remember Search engines like simple, content rich and optimized sites, hat dynamic, complicated and content poor sites.
users like simple colors (black on wight) with one identifier color, easy navigation, few banners, few links, and useful information.

The easiest way to have a customizable site for free is to install Wordpress. Most people think that because Wordpress is a blogging platform that you can't build "proper" web sites and you are limited in some way. In actual fact you can build pretty much any type of site you like with Wordpress once you learn how it works.

Plus there is a plug-in to do just about anything you could imagine with your site (within reason of course!) saving you form having to build things from scratch.

Joomla is another option however quite a bit more complex than Wordpress so I would recommend learning Wordpress first.

Another option is Website Designer Software - XSitePro - index which is apparently very good although I have never tried it personally as I can usually do what I want with either Joomla or Wordpress. XSitePro is probably the easiest way to build custom sites if you have no HTML skills.

All the best,
Mike.

Hello:

I agree with everybody: your PIPS site is a great starting point for your affiliate marketing/Internet Marketing journey ... but it should ONLY be the starting point.

You will grow as a business person and prosper as a marketer in direct relation to your commitment to learning new skills - including modifying and improving your website - and adding to it your own chosen mix of products, programs and services.

I will be direct and say that I think the Plug-In Profit Site sales page makes the whole process sound much easier than it really is. It takes a lot more work and a lot more learning to be able to confidently and competently change your PIPS website than a person is lead to believe.

However, technology is advancing and the process is getting easier. More resources are available to help, and more PIPS members with experience are available to assist and guide. This Warrior/PIPS Support Group forum is an excellent example.

HI EVERYONE,

I agree with much of what each of you has said in these posts about PIPs websites.

In many ways Stone put together a fascinating and powerful strategy to help others and to help himself. And, that IS what it is all about.

His 30-day guide has been the most useful for me for I have learned so much about internet marketing. I absolutely love the guide!

I believe we need to brand ourselves and our own websites as soon as possible. Many enter PIPs already capable to some degree of doing that sooner than others. For me, I am studying rabidly not only Stone's information but many other marketers I've met through the Traffic Exchanges. A whole new world!

Thanks to Stone for his success and sharing it!

You can always promote your PIPS site on the "back end" of your marketing funnel. Its not as hard as you think.

Generate leads that come to you first, and then simply introduct PIPS as a "turn key" marketing system which generates income for you.

Just like any turn key system though....once too many start using it, it gets harder and harder to generate leads from it since it looses its uniqueness.

Hi
Thank you for the post
I agree with all of you. PIPS site is a little bit clumsy. Too many banners that dazzles one's eye. Member should change on their own taste, ability and strategy.
