Ace Call Limited

Hi,

My wife's PayPal account was hacked by following her (piggy back) into her account.

Ace Call Limited charged three (3) 100 pound charges "inside" her account.
That would be $155 dollars American.

I'm not sure where they came from and they do not show up on a Google search.

I filed a fraud alert with PayPal and my bank, but wanted to let everyone know.

Stay alert and this can happen to anyone.

I will post here when I learn more or if anyone knows something about this company.

It is valuable to share these experiences with each other so we know what to watch for. However, I don't understand how someone can follow you into your account (piggyback). I'll look forward to your reply to that.

Hi,

PayPal was aware of the infraction. They are waiting for the sellings response.
In the meantime, its just a waiting game.

Ace Call Limited files papers to become in incorporated in the UK, but has not followed up since the intial filing back on 10/2008. It must of been a scam from day one as PayPal fell for it.

A "Piggy Back" is when someone enters a website at the same time you are logging in. They go in undetected by the user. They obtain your ID and PIN. Then at a later date come back pretending to be you and get what ever they want. I do not know all the details.

It is also when someone connects to your wireless network and captures personal information at the sametime your online.

I will get the answers.

Ace Call Limited Frauded my bank account also, the case was just closed this week by PayPal, the case was opened on May 14,2009 by PayPal, they say they caught the error before I did. I was looking at my online bank account and saw the charges there. I immediately called my bank concerning this issue and they returned the monies to my account. That company stole 4 transactions of 100 British pounds from me($155.00USD). I had never even heard of this company. I asked PayPal today what they plan to do about this company and they told me that the company never was able to get the money from my account, that it was pending, which was a lie. My bank did reverse whatever charges they could. Now when I talked to PayPal today, and asked what they will do about the company the representative told me that it was none of my business and that they can't disclose any information about Ace Call Limited and she then hung up on me. Seems to me like PayPal is protecting the company and it may be a sister company or something with PayPal. I will not be using PayPal again.

All I ask, everyone to do is to check your account periodically if you are going to continue using PayPal, because you know PayPal is linked to alot of companies this is why they are so close knit with eBay. These arent the only companies they have and I'm sure they are linked to companies overseas too. So be very careful, with who you go with.

It's the companies responsibility to know who's working for them. This company should be sued, I will be working with my attorney to get this done.

What a Mess this is. PayPal has made good and everything is fine with them. But the BIG SNAFU is my bank.

The money was return but they are still arguing with me about the NSF fees.

If I had as paperwork as my bank does, I would never get anything done. I would have gone off screaming into the woods and never come back.

My days with both financial institutions have come to an end. It’s time to regroup.
