Default Social Bookmarking Question

Hey Guys,

Now please do not LOL to much, for I am old and some times get confused easily.

I know that I have been around here for more than two years and I should know this by now but it seems the more that I read about it the more I get confused.

My question is this; Do I need to go to all the social bookmarking sites and sign-up with them one at a time? I have done some Google searches and I found several FREE sites that submits your site/blog for free to 50 to 120 different SB sites but do I need to go to those sites first and open an account or can I just use the submission sites and place their bookmarking button on my sites/blog?

With two plus years of work on my blog to tag all that's there could take days. However if that is what I need to do then I guess I should have started to use SB long ago, and now I need to get on it.

Thanks for your help!!
Regards,
Roy

Yes, you need to manually submit to every social site yourself.

And yes, you should be using this already.

I use Posttoater.com, and mostly use the "dofollow" sites. Posttoaster is only semi-automatic, but I can get 40 links in 25 minutes with proper tagging.

Hi Roy,
There is no other way, you need to go and join each site manually, but this is only one time and it worth it, also you don't have to join all the sites, you can start slowly with the big and main ones: StumbleUpon, Digg, Mixx, etc and add more as you learn.
Like David, I also use mostly the "dofollow" sites, I rather invest my time in links that will help me in the future.

Thank you for the info, which is exactly what I thought I would need to do since that is what I did when I joined Digg several months back. I guess that I should have been joining a few each week and I would have a list of them done by now.

So then I take it that places like socialmarker.com are sites that you sign-up to after you register at all the sites you choose to sign-up with and use their buttons separately or in one button from places like socialmarker.com

Thanks again,
Roy

Using only DoFollow sites is good if you are trying to build backlinks but you are missing out on the visitor part of social bookmarking. Places like Twitter can be great for building traffic and shouldn't be ignored.

Roy, have fun signing up, it's a pain in the arse.

Gee, Thanks Tons Steve you are so encouraging, LOL.

Also thanks for joining ZenZuu through my link, I sent you an e-mail, a friends request and a comment there but you must have been to busy to visit since joining. I know, all of us are busy and we just place our priorities in different directions. Anyway thanks again.

Regards,
Roy
