I just thought you might be interested in an experiment I am starting today.
Many of you already know I have written an ebook due for release on the 1st July ......(you can grab a free copy just by pm'ing me) anyway, due to my present budget I am going to be relying soley on free methods of getting traffic to it. As a result, I am starting to promote it as from today. Now, this is where the interesting experiment comes in. Many of you will also know of my interest in the free backlink generator (you can read about it on my blog Free Backlink Generator | Online Home Business Tips) I have been using this backlink generator to promote both my pips site and my winning ways website with a nothing less than amazing results.......however, the results are not conclusive, in as much as I believe the backlink generator to be responsible for the traffic I get, but I can't be certain. So, this is what I am going to be doing. I have written my sales page for my ebook, optimized it with my keywords and have just uploaded to my website. I have set the backlink generator to award backlinks to this sales page only as apposed to 3 different sites. I have loaded the sales page with statcounter It is now pretty much in the lap of the Gods so to speak. My objective is to get to page one on Google with the three VERY competetive keywords I have chosen. (I will share these when I start to see results) As previously stated, I have no budget for this so this will prove once and for all whether the free backlink generator is as good as I honestly think it is. I'll keep you all posted, because if this does work out as I suspect then it will be a good way of promoting your pips sites. Any of you who have given me testimonials may also benefit from this experiment as your links are intact on my sales page.....I'd be interested to hear from you guys if you see traffic from that. wish me luck ![]() Graham |

Great idea, Graham. I use it for both of my sites as well. I'll let you know if I get any traffic from the sales page. BTW, did you get my latest PM?

Exciting update;
In less than 24 hours - I am on page 1 google pos 9 for keywords "Effective Keyword Research" out of 5,310,000 I am on page 2 out of 207,000 for keyword research ebook I expect it to take quite a bit longer for my other keywords, but to be on page 1 in less than 24 hrs is fantastic news for me ![]() It just proves this system is working ....although it is still too early for a conclusion. graham |

Hey old fella!
since we are old pips buddies - if you have a splash page that you want to rotate for your book - I will offer you 20 thousand credits over 2 traffic exchanges if you would like! it needs to be something suitable for exchanges to help you at all - so not a big sales page - but if that helps - hit me up and I can add to your free traffic - good luck with the whole thing sheesh - first a youtube god and now an ebook author extraodinare - my hat is off to you mate! If you don't mind me being nosey, Are you using the paid version of free traffic, or the free version. I'm thinking about ramping up to the paid, but money's so tight it squeaks.
Thanks in advance my friend. Ray |

Hi Ray,
I was fortunate enough to be given a free lifetime pro membership....so pro is the answer. But if money is tight for you at the moment...and it is for me too,I would stick with the free version until you can afford to upgrade. Up to you of course. i am still monitoring the positioning of my sales page at the moment....seems to be going up & down, but still on page 1 for the keywords in my post........still no sign of position with the main keyword. I will keep you posted Graham |

That's great, Graham.
I have a question about Pro users. One of my referrals is a Pro user, and in my account it says "Virtual Balance: $10." What exactly does that mean? Thanks, Alan |

Hi Alan,
As I understand it, virtual balance is a balance of commissions earned which will be transferred to the pending release for payment at the next payment run, so if you are a pro user that balance will get paid to you. There is I believe a video on the site somewhere that explains this. I hope this helps. ![]() graham |

So does that mean I won't receive the commissions because I'm not a pro user? Maybe I'll upgrade if the commission will cover the payment each month. I tried watching the video, but it decided to stop playing after if fully loaded. It didn't get to the part about commissions. I don't feel like wasting my time on it again.

Hi Graham,
Thought I would update you on the commissions for FTS. As I have one pro member, and I'm still a free member, the first month of the pro member commissions have now moved to "Pending For Release." I would assume that this means I'll be getting the money soon deposited to my PayPal account. I'll keep you updated. It's interesting to know if they allow you to earn commissions as a free member because I certainly can't afford the monthly fee. |

Update:
1 month in to my little experiment, the keywords "Effective Keyword Research" are constantly on page one google hovering between pos 1 & 4. There is still no sign of my competitive keywords however. I am scaling this experiment down now, as I am now diverting my free backlinks to my new pips review site.(which incidentally is also on page 1 for "Quick start to internet marketing" Results 1 - 10 of about 5,360,000 ) and I am already seeing google traffic. My conclusion is that backlinks alone are not enough, but together with your web page /article whatever being optimized with your keywords correctly, you will see very quick results and for this the free traffic system is a powerful aid. Also having your keywords in the domain name or title add to the liklihood of seeing fast results. I hope this info has been of some help. Graham |
