I get the message "This confirmation link is no longer valid." But I still received the next email in my inbox!!! Cheers for now Cyn |

I asked GetResponse support and here is what they said: I asked if I already was an upgrade and paid by yearly would that price stay the same or would I need to pay more to continue and do I need to pay extra for my subscribers? Here is their response.... Hello Bill, Thank you for contacting GetResponse. As per your question, the new pricing comes along with GetResponse 6.0. However, we will obviously not force our long term customers to accept the new payment plans so if you have a PRO account that was opened in the past, you are able to keep the old price as long as your account stays active. Unfortunately, in such case you may not use the new features that were introduced in the newly launched version of GetResponse and features that are available within your account stay exactly the same as they used to be. If your rebill takes place on i.e. September and you are currently on annual plan, you will be charged $ 145.40 again, unless you wish to switch to new features and new payment plans. As per your subscribers, the same rules apply. 10.000 is included in the basic price and then the system charged $4.50 for every 5.000/monthly. I hope this fully answers your question. Should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help. Regards, Aleksandra Zabuska GetResponse Billing Department That, good news to me, and to those that are already upgraded those rules apply to you as well! Cheers,

Hi Bill, Yes, that is excellent news. That means we don't have to utilize the new features if we're happy with the way things are right now. If we have the money to upgrade later and take advantage of all the new features, then we can do so at our leisure. I'm glad they're not forcing the price change upon us already upgraded members. |

Alan, Here is why I don't think I'll ever upgrade to use their other features, I know this may sound greedy on my part but it is a business decision I can live with... Right now I pay $145.40 a year for the autoresponder through GetRespponse and I can have up-to 10,000 subscribers and for each additional 5,000 it will cost me an extra $4.50 monthly. If I were to upgrade and use the other features this is how much I would pay... 5,001 - 10,000 subscribers = $65 a month (Pay for 12 months and pay $639.60 I'd save $140.40 and it would equal to be $53.30 a month) 10,001 - 25,000 subscribers = $145 a month (Pay for 12 months and pay $1426.80 I'd save $313.20 and it would equal to be $118.90 a month) Now if I would get my business to have 25,000 subscribers with the plan I have now it would cost me about $25.62 a month for 25,000 subscriber and $307.40 a year. Therefore, I would save $1119.40 to keep my account as is! So, as nice as the new features are... I can't see me paying $1119.40 a year just to send a video and a new pretty template. Plus, the prices above don't include the $10 fee a month for GetResponse Multimedia Studio! I think I'll keep my account as it is! Let me know your thoughts! |

Hi Bill, Wow... you know, after seeing other explanations of the pay plan, this is the first one that actually makes sense to me! Seems a bit ridiculous and pricey if you ask me. I'm perfectly happy with what I have now. In this case, I doubt I ever will upgrade either. |

Hi Cyn, All. I am glad some are seeing some progress in little things. I am so sorry there is nothing I can do to help anyone. My hands are completely tied and I have been waiting since Sunday for resolution to my problems. What I note and 'my problems': I can't configure new accounts because I can't access the campaign from the member's free accounts to preload the messages. After several notes of apologies to applicants, starting July 4, I finally last night set up sites without autoresponders for all days since July 4 -- and will have to go back and re-do all the index.htmls for new members since July 4 - once the problems are resolved. ... Accounts set up just PRIOR to the shut down on July 4 did not get migrated, (do not exist in the new system). -- yet when I try to add them now they are 'added' but can't be logged into because they are 'disabled'. Predefined values have disappeared from old accounts, and this includes Stone's own messages to members - going out, for instance, with links like http://pluginwelcome.html (which should be domain.com/pluginwelcome.html in order to work) (domain_id = domain.com being the predefined value) I have no idea what to do except spit nails, especially with statements like 'the problem is your code' and not related to the upgrade. Strange how it worked for years and now suddenly it is bad code... hmmph - go figure. I tell you all because you should know in case you are getting lots of confused people that are being sent instructions that have invalid links, etc., have waited longer than normal for their sites, etc. Please extend my sincere apologies. All I can say is in my experience, there has never been an 'upgrade' or a 'new version' that did not have wrinkles to iron out. In my 5 years with PIPS it is very rare that something this serious happens - and the way it is being handled is not the usual way we do business. It is out of my control and out of Stone's control. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah end of rant whiiiiiiiiiine (yes I will take cheese with my whine, please) may as well try to laugh to keep from crying. |

Pat, I completely understand! It seems as though they didn't put much thought into what they would do with all the old accounts! You would think they would of just kept all the things that worked and just added the new. Instead, it seems as they gave everything a new code name and screwed everything up! Hey, it's only been a few days... But it sure is costing a lot of sales around the Internet! Patients is a virtue... |

Hi Pat I don't envy you - I would hate to deal with all those problems! My web form problem and domain (or lack of) fixed itself - i.e. I made no changes to the code on my site so GR must be doing something that is correcting things. There are still a few things not working like being unable to test messages but I see they are still working on that. I hope GR get this mess sorted out soon and make life easier for you. Cheers for now Cyn

I'm really sorry for the hassle that you and Stone are passing through since all this mess started, it must have been a real nightmare. I've been a PIPS member for a few months now and I know that you always work hard and do your best efforts to provide us PIPS members with the best service. I hope things come back to normal asap, but unfortunately all that most of us can do now is wait while they fix these glitches ... Best Regards, |

I'm probably the only one that has yet to log in and see the new changes, or even know how I'm affected by all of this. I'd rather not know at this point after reading all the problems in this and the other thread. All I do know at this point is that my forms are working as I just got another subscriber. Other than that I have no idea, and I'd rather it be that way so that I don't have to worry! Pat, just keep your head high as you're doing a great job given the circumstance. |

Yes but with some difficulty. #1 you would be responsible to replace the opt-in form in the source code. #2 the free version comes with only 5 messages, and the other 216 messages are only available with any upgrade. So, you would have to get the messages and change all the pre-defined values manually from GR parameters to your new autoresponder's format. #3 there is no 'file' to download for the messages - This means copying and pasting each one. |

There's no way to import the entire newsletter from GR to another Autoresponder since there's no file to download (even if you upgrade), I was thinking about doing this when all those problems began. You'd have to do this manually copying and pasting every single message. It's not complicated but you'd have a lot of work that could take you hours and hours (maybe days), for this you should go to Messages >> Follow-up Messages on GR and there copy each message. You'd have to set up your pre-defined ids on the new autoresponder as well. I'm just not sure how you could manage what was the last message that each subscriber received. So I preferred to let things as they are and try to solve these glitches with GR. MailShimp offers flexible prices according to your list size, the minimum package costs $10 and you can have up to 500 subscribers, you can check other options on their website. Hope I've helped!

Hi Zahira Sorry to hear about your problems. I have noticed in the GR Forum people are getting a good response to their problems from GR so I would suggest you post what you have written below in the GR forum. Just login to your GR account and at the bottom of the page you will find the link to the forum. Cheers for now Cyn

I spoke too soon - the problems are not fixed. They made a little progress with the disabled accounts - now I can log in so that's good. However I am still dead in the water because I still can't preload any messages. Thanks for your usual support and affirmation though. I can really use it even more than usual.

You're not the only one! Like you said, I'd rather not know at this point. In my case, I am so busy with other things, I wouldn't have time available to work on GetResponse solutions, so I'd rather not have the aggravation of knowing something is wrong. I can only focus on one thing at a time. It has been mentioned that these kinds of bugs and glitches can occur when there is a major change or migration such as this one. Patricia has mentioned that in the past, the glitches have not been quite so severe. We can only hope that GR is listening to all of these complaints and problems and is truly working on solutions for each of them, not just trying to pass it off on "code" issues or other standard "excuses" that companies like to try to pass on to the consumer (when in the end, it often falls back on the company.) All I can say is HANG IN THERE, PAT! "All things will pass," as they say, and "adversity reveals character." You appear to be holding up well, under the circumstances, and your good character is showing. Keep on keeping on. GT

It seems that my account is finally back to normal. However, they started sending all the late messages in a row yesterday afternoon, I received 8 msgs from my newsletter and one of my friends told me that he had received a bunch of emails from me. I checked my account today and saw that I lost more than 10 subscribers likely because of this. =/ I hope we don't have any more surprises... I really don't know what will my reaction be the next time I receive an e-mail saying "New GR Update/Migration Coming Soon..." |

I'm still having many of the same issues as everyone else. I've also noticed the in my PIPS newsletter all of the URLS appear as { { LINK "http://www.[[pre domain_id]]/pips.html" } } I'm not sure if that is how it is supposed to show up as and I can't test it either. I tried signing up for my newsletter with a different email but of course other then the first conformation email nothing else has come. I've sent to emails to their support with no reply. Aweber is looking better and better. John |

John - that is a correct predefined value. Please contact the PIPS helpdesk with your username and password so I can take a look and test it. More than likely your email account is blocking the newsletters. Just wanted to say that in the old system, when you had [[firstname]], this would work so that the person's name would show up but now it is this: [[first_name]] I know that a lot of people here have many messages already in your Getresponse system but the nice thing for me is that I only have 2-5 messages that follow up with prospects and I like to write a broadcast every 2-3 days so it has not affected me at all. I know this has affected Stone and many others here. Tal |

Hi Anderson. This is so funny I forgot to laugh. (not funny) I am still resolving issues - all I can do is apologize. Don't worry these new version/upgrades only happen every few years. This was a major one and hence the problems are the worst and most I have seen in 5 years. Hang in there.

Aaron - I would suggest that you adjust your display settings and/or font parameters. The form has fit into the narrow left sidebar on PIPS sites just fine - it is formatted to fit in a very narrow space - so if you are seeing it bigger, something has gotten corrupted in your HTML "size=" code or else as I say it is just your display - Try Control and minus minus to reduce it temporarily - What browser are you using? Do I understand your issue or not? |

Hi Tal I still have [[firstname]] in all my emails and the system is still working fine and showing the person's name. I haven't had to change all my emails to [[first_name]]. I assume the system is automatically recognizing them. Cheers for now Cyn

The Send Broadcast function is now called Create Newsletter! Once you click Create Newsletter you can choose the campaign you want to send the Newsletter to, there is a drop down bar on the right hand side toward the top. Then you'll do the same things as you did when sending a Broadcast! Hope this helps, |

Just to make it clear.... GetResponse is one of the top autoresponders and they are working hard to fix all the bugs from the migration! |
