I would go straight to building the biggest buyer's list possible using paid traffic and increase my lifetime customer value via backend offers to the point that I could buy almost any media I wanted...

1) Focus on quality content. It has the best ROI.
2) When talking link building, realize the easier it is to get/automate, the less valuable it will be.
3) Find the right balance between margins...
