google not seeing my updated site map

Hi,

Can anyone help with this problem.
Google is still looking at my old site map and not my new one

I made a completely new website with a new sitemap
but using the same domain as a site I already had
and one that google had verified and I was tracking it with google analytics.

I got Google to verify my new site, but it's showing Crawl Errors
for pages that it thinks are missing, but are not part of my site anymore.
And it looks like it's not really crawling my new site.

It can take up to 2-3 weeks for google to completely re-index a site, especially one that isn't known for frequent changes in it's database.

Have you tried signing up for Google Webmaster Tools? You can submit your new site map directly to google that way, rather than waiting for it to index (its a different tool than analytics btw).

Thanks for the response.
Yes, I resubmitted my new sitemap to google in the web masters tools
about five days ago, and got a response that my site is verified again,
but it's still has the old pages.

In webmaster tools, how long ago did it say the site was indexed.
