Default Plugins for cloaking links in wordpress MU

I've recently installed a WPMU application and am creating the first "blogette". (Example: domainname/blog/blogette) I first createdblogette using the site admin panel. I have installed and activated the gocodes plugin to use on this and subsequent "blogettes", but am having trouble getting gocodes to work properly.

While signed in to the "blogette" dashboard, I have navigated to tools/gocodes for the form needed to insert the redirect information. There I choose a word that will be inserted after the /go/ and in the next box added the vendor affiliate code. Then clicked "add redirect".

At this point, the system now bumps be from the "blogette" back up to the "blog". Effectively, I am now no longer in the system I am trying to work with.

And the redirect is no where to be found when I navigate back to the relevant dashboard.

Has anyone else come across this? If so, any perspective as to how to handle this?

Thanks,
