Default Search Engine

Hi,

I was not sure where to post this but here it is.

I am wanting to set up my own search engine like Yahoo
and Google have.

I am working on creating a start page and wanted my own search
engine.

I was thinking about using Google's, what do you think?

I am wanting a search engine where I make money from the searches.

Thank you for your help.

Jess

Google made their money from donations. Yahoo just used their own money from their stock.

All search engines are technically the same, you just have to change the settings to your liking.

If you need a start, try to find a clone of Google and work from there, you might find something decent.

Other than that, you can't really make money from individual searches... otherwise, I'm sure there would be a LOT more rich people in the world.

EDIT:
I found this. It might be a little helpful. It costs though, but if you really want to try this out, it would be the perfect start.

Sign up for a Google Adsense account, if you don't already have one. One of the things you can do with Adsense is to put a Google search form on your site. You'll make a little money whenever someone uses your search and then also clicks on any of the paid advertising in the search results.
