Plugging in amazon associates into phpbb

I run a website that has a book review area in a phpbb forum (3.x). I'd like to be able to insert a post (either automatically or manually, somehow) right after the immediate first post hosting an image linking to the amazon affiliate page for whatever book is being reviewed.

What's the best way for me to do this? Anyone done something like it with phpbb before?
