This is a weird one. A couple weeks ago, my Google Analytics started showing 0 traffic to my year-old Blog, even though I know I was/am getting traffic (I still get optins). I use the Google Analyticator plug-in for the GA. Also, at some point in the last few weeks, an exit pop-up stopped popping up. I don't know when this started for sure. I also don't know if the two problems are related. I checked all the plug-in configurations, and they look fine. So, I upgraded all the outdated plugins, and upgraded WordPress to the latest versions, but neither problem appears to have gone away. Any thoughts? |

I agree with Mark Fail. Almost certainly some error has been introduced into one of the JavaScript scripts on your page, and this caused all of your scripts to stop working. Should be easy to track down if you post a link. Steve |

Yes, I certainly have something going one here. All proper code shows up in the "view source" in my browser. Plugins are activated, everything looked perfectly normal. So, I deactivated and reactivated the analytics plug-in, reset some setting just to overwrite some parameters, played with other options and now it works. All options are still set the same as before I monkeyed with it, so I have no clue what happened. I never got the exit pop-up to work, so I'm installing a new one. My sign-up rate has dropped since this stopped working. The lesson I learned is to log every change I make to my Blogs and HTML sites, so I can track when things go/went haywire. It takes some time, but it's worth it not to have to re-engineer the sites when these things go awry. Lesson learned # 3,826! The latest is that the Amazon ebook covers in the Amazon widget have stopped appearing. Plug-in hasn't changed, it's the current release, etc. This things drive me nuts. I'm convinced that either adding a new plug-in or upgrading an outdated plug-in created some conflicts and aren't playing nice in the sandbox. I have to slowly, one by one, deactivate and see which one is the culprit. Here's the Blog for reference. What I rally need is a browsershots.org type service to take a snapshot every day and email it to me, so I can see the last time this puppy really fired on all cylinders! lol Mark |

When wordpress goes crazy sometimes you just need to remove all the plugins and put them back one by one. I can't see anything wrong with the site but the only way is to really pull out all the addins and test them. James Ps most important position in football is the center half (seeing as no-one has a sweeper anymore). |

James, Thanks. I agree, it's probably a conflict somewhere. It's slow, but reinstalling one plugin at a time is the only way to go. I also agree that a center half/mid is the quarterback and most important. I'm glad that poll plugin still works! ![]() Mark |
