Does anyone know how to insert the autoresponder code into an image? I paid a web designer on the Warrior Forum to create a video opt-in page for me. Turns out, he doesn't really know how create a video opt-in page after all & doesn't know how to insert the AR code (he's just a graphic artist). And I certainly don't know how. He said what he did is standard (i.e. creating a opt-in graphic box). Without being able to plug in the autoresponder code, it's useless to me. I told him what I wanted, sent him to my website to copy the elements & he gave me what HE wanted. I paid in advance. Bottom line, I paid & didn't get what I wanted. Now I need help trying to make this work. ![]() Thanks in advance, Cynthia |

Hi Cynthia, If I understand you correctly, you paid a designer to design a squeeze page with the opt-in form that takes visitors to your video, but all you got was the design. There are some simple, free ways to do this, but at the end of the day, somebody still has to touch the code. Was your "graphic artist" contracted by you to deliver actual code, or just graphics (i.e. sliced images, psd files, etc.)? 1) Start by going to VerticalResponse, and signup for a free account. 2) Click on Lists > Opt-in forms > New Opt-in form 3) Complete the fields in the wizard This process produces the form code you need for the opt-in element on your squeeze page. Give this code to your HTML person, and they should be able to tie it all together. This process I just now described with VR will produce a basic auto-responder for you, with an opt-in prompt for your user. Even if they don't double opt-in, you can still collect their email, but VR won't email out to them through their system if you wanted to blast them later. Only those that double-optin can be blasted through VR, but the cool thing is that you can always download the list, and blast them yourself using a desktop bulkmail tool. If you want to move further towards marketing automation, well the rabbit hole gets pretty deep. There are other systems that are just as easy for you to use as what I just explained, such as GetResponse and AWeber, which offer some marketing automation features, but they'll cost you a monthly subscription. A solid solution would be AWeber, if you plan on doing something beyond just sending auto-responders, such as periodically marketing to your list. There are other caveats to creating opt-in forms for a video, but I thnk this will get you over the first hump. Other questions you'll have later might be things like, "How do I prevent people from bypassing my squeeze page and going directly to my video page?", "How do I keep all the junk leads from getting through my opt-in form?", "How do I prevent someone from launching an attach on my opt-in form and freezing my site?", "How do I pass the opt-in form data to my video page, so I can customize the copy on that page for the particular user?" etc. Somebody could probably do a whole ebook on this topic. Thanks for the replies. Quote:
I use Aweber, so I have the code, I just don't know how to put it into the graphic. Thanks, Cynthia P.S. Agung, I didn't realize that you could do that. I would've hired you. I've used you before. I'll know better next time. | |

Don't know if you got it worked out yet. You could just create a table inside the graphic and add your code, html side of course. Course depends on the graphic, if the form will show okay. With a table you can align as needed.

No, I don't have it worked out. And I'm wasting time trying to figure it out. I thought that was what I was paying for...so I didn't have to try to figure it out myself.

Hi, Cynthia. I'll send you a PM with my email address. If you send me the files you got from the designer, plus the autoresponder code you need integrated, I'll be glad to take a look and see whether it can be done simply. (As an aside, if you feel that you communicated the requirement clearly to the designer in the first place, then it seems to me that he should be paying someone to complete the job.) I hope I can help. Steve |

Steve, I have this same issue. Mind posting how you did it? I've been reading Agung's site posted, and it looks like a good answer, however, I am not sure if it relates to just the submit button, or the whole opt-in box?
