I have a new wordpress 2.8 blog installed. But I am newbie to wordpress. I want remove the links down the right hand side-the links that say "pages" "archives" "blogroll "meta" etc. Can they be deleted or moved further down the page? At the moment I have a banner at the top of my wordpress page but it looks messy with all those links encroaching over it. thanks in advance |

Hi Ian Yes they can be removed by editing the sidebar file in the theme you are using - usually this file will be named sidebar.php. Your sidebar items will appear as being within an unordered list ( i.e. between a "<u>" and "</ul>" tag set). Each menu item is a list item, or "<li>". Just edit out the ones you want. If you need any help with this please let me know. Bill |
