Wordpress Version Upgrade Help Needed

I have several Worpress blogs and most of them upgraded to version 2.8.4 automatically without any issues.

But, each time I try to upgrade one using the automatic upgrade, it fails and I get the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2357046 bytes) in /home/exchang7/public_html/4petsonline.com/wp-includes/http.php on line 1331

I've downloaded http.php into a text editor, but line 1331 says nothing about memory size. In fact I've read through all the file and can't find any reference to memory size.

Any help/suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

If i am not mistaken this means you are out of memory

Yes - I do get that, but my problem is changing the programming to give me more memory. The error message provided by WordPress doesn't help and I was hoping one of the WP experts out there could guide me

This might help solve this issue. It's due to PHP memory limits which are set by your host -
