I am newbie of programming learning. I want to create directory submitter and rss software. So I want to know that

1. What I have to learn to create directory submitter and Rss feed?
2. How long it take to complete learning?
3. Where I can learn easily in online?
Is this profitable for profession And How much?
Also Let me your own experience...
