Default Watch people on your website

I saw this tool explained in SOME video, unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember where.

It essentially let you view exactly what your users were doing on your page. EG: They pause video, scroll down to check price, go back up, resume video, then skip sales letter

This would be invaluable to me.

Also. I'm using JWPlayer for my flash video, does anyone know of a player thats easy to setup and gives you raw data on how long each person watched your video (if you convert those into clusters, I would imagine you could see exactly where you lose people and fix that part of the video).

Suggestions would be great, and thanks in advance.

Maybe you're thinking about Woopra. Er, wait, I don't know if woopra does that. Maybe http://www.clicktale.com/ is what you're after.

Well, the mouse movement recording AJAX here is released under an MIT license. Set that up and have it log each user's movements to a database and you'll have it for later playback.

FWIW, I don't see *any* license specifically for the movelogger code (ml.js). While it might be nice to assume it was 'public domain' or 'open source' in some capacity just by nature of it looking like abandonware, I'm not sure I'd go that far.

The original blog post by the author is gone, but still up at puRe aka Marcel Oelke Record mouse movement using Javascript and AJAX and even there I didn't see any mention of a license.

However, the code is a good starting point to learn *how* to do this sort of thing, but still needs a few more features to be usable on the level of a clicktale or userfly.com's service.

That is correct. It seems I was looking at the license for prototype.js.

Here's a nice one that's MIT licensed jQuery - Event Playback and Recording Library
