Hi Everyone:

There comes a time where if you can't touch PHP, you're pretty much in the hands of others...

I've been a Clipper and C++ programmer in the old days and I'd like to take some type of PHP + MySQL crash course.

I just wanted to ask if anyone could recommend some good e-book or source out there I could get my hands on.

I love VB.NET the most, only drawback I think in .NET is the scalability, as it is not like Java.
Working in RoR is easy still PHP and AJAX is best to work.

PHP is my favorite but I still don't know that much about it. I've created custom CMS's for myself and everything but I still only know the basics.

I usually let WordPress take care of the PHP part though and I just code valid XHTML/CSS.

I personally love ASP.NET with C# and Silverlight. I like it the most because of the fact that I am comfortable with C# programming language and its the easiest language to learn. Besides that ASP.NET does allow to create powerful websites too.

I love curl and firebug - Together you can use the information you find with firebug to send fake messages with CURL, so you can alter a web process that otherwise does not make sense. I have built several tools for my day job through this method, and it has resulted in several hours of recovered productivity. Oh and I love Java/PHP too

I am most thankful that I learned the C programming language because it gave me a solid foundation to learn new languages quickly and easily. I would highly recommend C to new programmers (even though it is a procedural language, and you need to also understand OOP concepts).

Well I have done my final year projet in Asp.net and C#.
Then after Uni ,I worked on PHP, MYSQL,Objective C.
Personally I feel Objective C is interesting as it is a bit challenging Programming Language.
