Looking for Digital Content Brokering Software...

I'm wanting to buy low and sell high - I just want to be the man in the middle, where people can upload their digital product, and I can sell it for them. They get a commision for the sale.

Is there any software out there that does this (should be read, specializes in this) ?

If not, any WordPress guys want to write me up a quick plugin?

I sell digital products but sincerely have little desire to upload my digital product somewhere and get paid "commission" for sale.

Although it works well in reverse - people act as affiliates and they get paid like $40+ commission for sale. Consider them to be "men" in the middle.
Affiliate software management makes it happen.

This isn't that sort of a scenario

The intended audience isn't to sell other IM's products.

This would be more like personal images, art, music and other files that individuals can put up, on one site, and they are premiered and sold on the other (could be same site).

They would get a cut of the deal.

I too partake in affiliate programs, and understand the power of those. This just happens to be a bigger scope than what an affiliate program can handle easily.

I've spent the better part of the day searching for a solution, and have come up empty. I know the software exists, but I have yet to identify it...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your description doesn't really clarify the concept, at least for me.

I upload a file of some kind to one site, and it's sold on another?

I would get a "cut" of the deal? That translates as someone else deciding how much my product will sell for, and taking the lion's share. Am I wrong here?

Sounds a little like a stock photography or music kind of site. No?

I think we're talking the same - but different

Photo sharing, etc is very close to what I'm looking for.

Try this site:

It's an essay / term paper buying and selling site.

This isn't what I'm doing, but if there was some software that I can buy (or open source), then I'd have the starting point that I'm looking for.

Basically I site that allows me to match buyers with sellers - and maybe do some trading between artists.

Does that clarify it a bit?

Just think of what I want as a term paper buying/selling site/software.

Thanks for the added details. I'm feeling a little brain-dead, because I still don't see it (I'm getting used to this!). Probably not your fault.

For what it's worth, what keeps coming to mind is auction site software. That, and CraigsList. At least with an auction site, you get to scrape a little off the top. Might be a starting point, anyway - not all auctions are real auctions; some are just listings at a set price.

I dunno. I'm babbling. Good luck.
