Arrow Elance Web Dev Guy Turned out to be a Flake

A good friend of mine hired an Elance guy to build her new web site. Sadly, this deal turned out badly and now she is way behind in her launch plans.

Supposedly, the Elance guy built the site using Dreamweaver, but the image files load very slowly and there are a few dozen cosmetic changes and a few back end inventory mgmt. issues that need fixed.

Looking to hire a Warrior programmer / savvy web designer who can inspect the current site and provide a quote on what it would take to get the site right. I have a few screen shots of the obvious fixes needed, not sure about the quality of the DW code, but I suspect its moderate at best.

If you have a list of sites you've done that I can preview and have the time NOW to work on this deal, please PM or refer to my profile for direct email info.

Thanks,

Thats a real shame...
let me know if you get a programmer, but get stuck with editing/compressing graphics.
I can do the favour. no catch

you gotta be careful when hiring guys from those sites...I have had a lot of clients that come to me because they were burned by offshore developers

Check out my personal site.

Hi,

It is sad to read this. Let me know if I can do anything regarding simple fixes...

I got burned too. At least I was able to get my money back, but it seriously put a dent in my plans.

How's things going now, JNF?

Guess I was luckier than most.

In my mind anyway, I had thought out everything but soon learned that I didn't. My developer went way above the call of duty to get me both what I wanted and what I needed at no additional cost.
