How to set up aMember?

Hi guys

I'm currently working on a membership website. I intend to use aMember but I've never used it before.

I need a fairly complex site so I would prefer to have somebody professional set it up in the way I need it.

Anybody have an idea of how expensive a complex site will be to have programmed/set up?

I will most probably use a 99designs.com contest to get a great design for it. How hard is it to integrate a design into aMember?

Anybody on here have a recommendation for a programmer that specializes in aMember?

Has nobody here ever set it up for a client or is it just a stupid question for some reason?

I have setup aMember in a wordpress blog. BTW, in what type of site you are going to setup the aMember?

How do you mean what type of site? It will be a membership site. Am I missing something?

Yes.

There are lots of different kinds of membership sites (content, digital downloads, etc). It's like asking "how do i set up a blog?" - lots of answers. I use amember to protect directories where I have my downloads and protect a page for license generation. I picked up a forum plugin so that it's integrated w/ my forum now as well which used to be open but is now members only.

Are you going to be blogging? Are you going to have a forum? Is this just a static website that once members sign up they can access and that's the end of it? Without knowing what you are trying to accomplish, it's impossible to give you any real advice.

If I'm not mistaken, Amember will do the initial setup for you free when you purchase the license. I was recently checking on membership software and I recall reading this on their site...I hear that Amember is one of the best, but at $179 per domain, ouch...
