I am trying to figure out how to create a link for a ebook or sofware I have on my hard drive. I understand so far that I have to download it to my server. I use hostgator as my server. Where do I put it? In the public.html folder? I don't know and to connect to my server I click my domain name at the top. I am using filezilla is this the way to do this?

Hi there jaypick. Well 1 way of doing this is zip the ebook which you have on your harddrive, and upload it to the public_html folder in your hostagator account. Then. The link to the ebook would be http://www.yourdomain.com/ebook.zip . I hope this helps.. To add this to any page just put the code <a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/ebook.zip">Download the Ebook</a> If you are still not able to get this done by yourself PM me or mail me at pdjsolutions@gmail.com Ill help you out Regards, PDJSolutions |
