Default 2 Sec Question On JV Partner Lists Set up

Hi Guys

I am trying to find an easy way to allow me to reward MY JV Partners a commission after the following process occurs :

  • JV Partners fire out emails to their lists and directs them to my squeeze pages (Not sales page)
  • I monetize my new list from my squeeze page some days/weeks later
  • I then cross reference the email address from each and every sale with the email address's that have signed up sent from the JV Partners
  • I then pay my JV Partners accordingly

IE: If John send Max to my email list (not sales page) and Max buys, I reward John the sale

I know I can do this using Aweber search features and manually process them but is there a standard way of doing this that I am missing?

Many thanks

G

Do you have a shopping cart script installed that includes affiliate tracking? If so, you could record each prospect in the customer database with the JV partner's affiliate code saved in their customer record.

If you don't have that kind of script installed, then I think that a custom-coded solution would be the only way.

BTW, I'm not 100% clear on the manual process you described. To make the best use of Aweber's facilities you would want to give each JV partner a different URL to link to your squeeze page, one that contained a code unique to them. You would define a custom field in your Aweber list to store that code, and you would program your squeeze page to copy the JV partner's code from their URL into a hidden input field on your squeeze page form. That way the JV partner code will get recorded with the prospect's email data in your Aweber list.

I wasn't sure whether you were already planning to do that part or not.

Let me know if I can help. I'm a trained professional.

Firstly thanks Steve for your reply,

I have JV Manager and just about to go through the set up process so that will answer the cookie query

I have also tested the aweber and it is easy to cross ref sales if I search

'Add Url' - contains - '.com/squeeze?=aff...'

So I guess as long as I have JV Manager set up and the affiliates go through that to create their JV account to cookies + create the =?afflink

AND I THEN

cross ref the sales with the aweber form after launch then its double safe that JV's can get paid ongoing for the life of my prospects

Thx Steve

Yeah, it's sounds like you've got it. Your URL search should work as well as my idea of a custom field. And if I understand you correctly, you'll generate the JV link to your squeeze page using JV Manager, so that JV Manager will drop the correct cookie on the customer's computer at the time they sign up for your autoresponder series. That ought to work fine. Not quite as reliable as what I was suggesting, since people can and do delete cookies, but it will work in most cases.

(BTW, that little "Thanks" button at the bottom of my posts can be used to express your thanks if I've been helpful.)

Thanks Steve

Very much appreciated, I re read your way and yep it seems obvious now 'just store the affiliate ID in the prospects details'

Simple and easy (as soon as I work out JV Manager)

All the best

Guy
