I just can't understand it
My test site is Nail Salon
You will note the Facebook and Twitter icons.
Those icons were originally named "facebook.png" and "twitter.png". I added them to my index file, and in design mode the images were there, but when I uploaded that index file, having already uploaded the two images to my "images" folder on the web, the images would not show up.
Frustrated after half an hour, I renamed the images as "fbicon.png" and "twittericon.png", changed the reference in my index file (which showed the images in Dreamweaver as being there), uploaded the images and my index file to the web, and, no difference, they wouldn't appear on the site.
Ahter another hour or so of trying to figure out what was going on, I went back to the original template on which I was basing my site. I noticed that on the template Quentin had called the facebook image "icon_64", so I renamed my images as "icon_64" and "icon_65", as you will see if you look at the source code of my index page, uploaded the images and my changed index file, and lo and behold the images were there!
I swear that all I did was change the names of the two files.
While writing this, I just had the thought that maybe Quentin had the same trouble, and that was why he called the Facebook icon "icon_64". I might pm him.
Anyone got any ideas? It's no big deal now, as the images are now up on my site, but I'm somewhat curios as to why they wouldn''t load as "facebook.png" and "twitter.png".
