If your client is planning to build an online store, then you better consider more options like OsCommerce, PrestaShop, etc… But, he/she wants to build a normal informative website then WordPress is much better option. Though, Joomla and Drupal are good too, but personally I never found them easy to customize (may be because I am novice and don’t have any professional web development work experience).

Yes I totally agrees with you we can go like that. It sometime came to my mind that Word Press is best for all. And for the large websites it will be Drupal and Joomla.

There are two best CMS, WordPress and Drupal.

For simple to complex web development, you can always use WordPress which is very easy to setup, number of ready made themes and plugins available.

If you're planning for bigger projects which involve complex business logic at large scale, I would suggest you go for Drupal. Though WordPress can still be used for complex development as well but I wouldn't suggest it for large scale project.

Well Wordpress is best as you can have lots of plugins and themes which can make your site more attractive and easy to use but it all depends how you want to see your website.

It really depends on what they are asking for. WP & drupal have a nice following, so if they are worried about support if you should leave, then these would be nice solutions. Depending on your skills you can do pretty much whatever you need to do with wp. Really just depends on the client and what their requirements are.

Thank you guys for all your notes and by the look of things it seems that Word Press is the best we can suggest to the client most of the time.
