Wordpress: Theme Editor

I updated a few of my sites to 4.1, but notice I don't have a menu item for the Theme Editor. Is this new, or did the upgrade break my site?

    Theme editor link is still visible under Appearance for me. If you can't see the link, try to access it directly at: example.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php

      Trying to access the page directly I'm now getting an error: "You don't have sufficient permissions to access this page."

    It's possible your theme or a plugin has disabled it.

    There are a LOT of people in the WordPress programming community that think it shouldn't be there at all. Sometimes that translates into a theme or plugin author disabling it arbitrarily.

      I assume that you have administrator rights, so, may be a WordPress 4.1 small bug.

      Try to disable all plugins and switch to other theme and see what happen.

        Steve and Zenoth, perhaps a plugin is the issue. I had recently installed the Secure Scan Pro plugin which suggests you do manual fixes if the software does not automatically fix the security problem. I'll install Secure Scan pro on another site I see what happens, and let you know.

    Okay, I performed 3 tests and all tests show no conflict with either Secure Scan Pro or WP 4.1. The Theme Editor is visible and accessible throughout the tests. So I will have a look at the themes on each site next. I did customize the themes for the affected sites, Thanks!
