Hey Warriors - Is there any good image optimizing service which can optimize images of site without disturbing the image quality?

Also is there any Method to know if the site is loading due to server/host issues or website optimization isn't done properly...

You can't optimize images (reduce size) without losing quality. But if you keep it at +80% you'll be fine.

Just google "image optimizer" and you'll find a bunch of online services. Test a few of them to see the best quality performant.

For the second question, use google webmaster, it's a no brainer for any webmaster to optimize his websites and rankings

I have tried using Kraken.io but didnt saw a great compression.

Also my server is responding in like 5-6 secs.. Is it because of the site or hosting problem?

have you tried using a "cache" plugin on your site. It will increase the speed of the loading times of images significantly

GIMP is a free software package that can help edit images and adjust the quality.

Try changing your images from .jpg to .png (or vice versa) for example to reduce size.

I use Photoshop to get my images just as I want them. You can edit the quality, size by pixels or percent etc.

Ahhh... the art of optimizing a website for load time. There are many factors that can affect how quickly a website loads - not just image sizes (although an obvious place to start). Run Pingdom Website Speed Test on your site to find bottlenecks.

And for image optimization, I'm a big fan of imageoptim (for mac).
