Wordpress subdomain question

I'm trying to setup a blog with categories as subdomains.
I have the categories set as subdomains.
I have the subdomains created.

Is there a way to use the same wordpress installation to fill the subdomains with the main domain's content? Or do I have to create a new installation? Basically I want to control all the content from one admin panel if possible.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I'm a total newb.

I understand what you are trying to achieve, but WordPress categories are not designed to be used as subdomains.

I think you would need to install WordPress for all of your subdomains. Fortunately WordPress has a multi site feature that will allow you to create a network of sites.

This is just my thought, may be a better solution out there.
