Urgent Help Needed. Have Facebook Updated Their Platform? Software Bots No Longer Login ...

Hey guys,

Quick question. I developed some Facebook software that automates various tasks on Facebook. They've been working fine for months, but today they stopped working.

My software does not use the API. It uses HTTP requests via sockets. I've been doing this for years with no issues. Until today.

I've done some digging around, and it appears Facebook now require Javascript to be enabled. Bad news for my Python bots. I've confirmed this by disabling Javascript in the browser.

Have any other developers noticed this? Can anyone else confirm this?

      No.

I'm asking if other developers have had a similar problem with Facebook recently. Your response is a little ignorant.

My software uploads my content, automatically to my Facebook pages. It does other things, as well as generates a custom PDF and infographic. There is no software like this, and I've spent years perfecting it for my own business. The graph API would get tricky to do what I am doing, and it's utterly pointless when I can achieve the same thing using HTTP requests.

Never the less, Facebook have allowed me to do this for the past 2 and half years without problems.

Get down off your high horse.
