Making money with Apps in 2015?

PROGRAMMING

There are now so many free apps across the Play store now. I was wondering how anyone made any money doing this in 2015?

Is there still money to be made in Apps? How much does Admob generate for app developers a month? Is the money in "making" apps for companies and not yourself?

Interested to hear the business model of Apps today, both on Play Store and Apple Store.

Depends on the app and its functionality, how advance and unique is the app and its features. Because App development is still in demand.

social app and unique app still makes more money in the google store also unique game demanded.

You used to be able to make a fair bit with "educational apps" which were little more than ebooks split into a presentation and sold as an "app".

I still think it works somewhat, although almost certainly not in the IM niche. I know someone who makes "philosophy apps" which are essentially just scrolling text.
