Personally when I learned php, I liked learning from a book. I like the php and mysql books by Larry Ullman. Very fast read, handy desk referance when still new to php and you'll be scripting FAST. Just my $.02

If you have a passion for what you want to be then you will be what you want to be.
    Be a good researcher.
    Start with the basics.
Do not and I repeat do not use advance code editors until you have mastered the basics.

Regularly learn tutorials related to web design and web development.

I recommended you to first improve your design skill on paper, Once you learn how to make logo, etc then you can learn about photoshop.

Once you learn graphic design then learn about html, css, java, php code.

It will take long time but after few year you will be a good designer.(If you learn regularly)

    Hello Walrey
Its good to knew that you are interested to learn Web Development and Web Designing.
For Web Desigining i have some ideas for you.

Website designers are often passionate about their tangible skills, like hardcore Photoshop skills or a mastery of jQuery. However, becoming good in the field of web design requires more than just having the wonderful command on design.
There are some very important things that any aspiring web designer should keep in mind when you are building you start your profession like a web designer.
The challenge for web designers face involves effectively managing their professional careers. The job of a web designer does not end at building websites that look good; you also have to manage all of the things that combine to form a successful business.Being truly successful requires a set of characteristics and traits... some of which you might already have, some of which you might be neglecting. These are things that cannot be obtained quickly by reading books or sitting in a classroom; Rather, many of these are skills that take time and experience to cultivate.

    Must Have Excellent Communication Skills:-
communication is one of those skills that can make or break you in any field, but it's especially important in web design where communicating with a client, art director, or developer can dictate the success of a project

    PLANNING
    1. Researching about the client’s company
    2. Asking the client what he wants and expects from the web
    3. Pondering upon what his competitors are doing and the related industry trends

Remember always, you keep up to date yourself. Technology is updated day by day abd minute by minute. Good luck for you and your career:

A good way to learn is through examples, when it comes to software and web development. Find websites made to give an example of web development. And study off of them.

By far, you need to be able to sell. You don't need to be able to program, although that might come in handy. If you can't sell your stuff you won't be developing much unless you have a lot of stuff you want to do for yourself. The selling is what will get you business and you can outsource all the rest.
