PROGRAMMING

Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but I need to block mysite.com/wp-content/uploads and I can't figure out how to do it.

I did Hostgator live support and they basically said to figure it out myself because it has to do with stuff that their support doesn't deal with.

Can anybody help me? I heard people can hack my site or infect it, or get stuff they shouldn't get etc etc if I don't have that blocked somehow.

I know I have to do something in my Hostgator Cpanel can anyone tell me what I need to do exactly?

How to block access to the wp-content uploads...

I don't know why their customer support wouldn't just tell me how to do it, what a di*k head. Telling me I need a web developer to do it for me and stuff.

That's blocked now though and it's awesome!

It says ERROR 403 FORBIDDEN!

Super cool just what I needed!

I think how I did that will also be how I install the new clickbank badge too, I was worried about that but it probably can't be too much harder.

I don't know anything about any type of coding, I barely know wordpress.

I'm happy though, problem solved.

They possibly didn't tell you how to do it as you were asking for support on a completely different product. Or they just didn't know anything about apache to direct you elsewhere.
