Need Help: wordpress plugin isn't working

Hi warriors.

I don't know where to ask but I think this is a great place to ask.
I'm not sure why, but one of my wordpress plugin is not functioning as
usual.

It is a free plugin.Unfortunately, the download page is not available
since the creator has a problem with his website.

I have two website that installed with this plugin but both of them are
not working properly as expected.


Can someone help me?I can send the plugin through email.Or do I need to pay
someone here.

    You should not need to pay anyone, the forum is here to share knowledge but it would be hard to help if you don't say what plugin, what/why it isn't working and maybe provide a link to the blog in question if relevant.

    In short we need specific details in order to help.

    Like what I said. The plugin cannot be downloaded anymore from author website.
    It is called ; Wordpress amazon item plugin.

    This is my website: New Balance Running Shoes

    It should show data from amazon.com for specific product.It is more similar to this
    plugin : ReviewAZON - The Amazon Affiliate Product Review Plugin for Wordpress except it is free.

    You just need to install the plugin and in order to display the product, just put on
    ASIN of the product.

    After you've downloaded and extracted the files:



    1. (optional) For a localisation, edit the 'amazon-item-languagepack.php' file with a text editor to fit your needs.
    2. (optional) Edit the ai.css file to customize the output of your posts.

    3. Upload the complete 'amazon-item' folder to the '/wp-content/plugins/' directory

    4. CHMOD 777 the '/amazon-item/cache' dir.

    5. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress

    6. Go to 'Amazon Item' under the 'Options' tab and configure the plugin

    This plugin does not write the content fetched by the Amazon Webservices into the WP Database.

    Therefore most of the plugins that manipulate the database content (e.g. excerpt plugins) do not work anymore.

    However the build-in WP excerpt(); function is modified and still working properly.

    Since August 15th, Amazon implemented their Product Services API, which requires all requests to their servers to be signed by using a public / private key pair, as well as your existing AWS ID.

    As the readme file doesn't ask you to include the public / private key pair, it sounds as if the plugin isn't compatible with Amazon's new system, and as such won't work.

    It's probably worth asking the plugin developer, to see if he/she will be updating the plugin accordingly.
