Moving Sites From a Direct Admin to a CPanel Host?

Hey guys and gals

Anyone has experience and tips on moving sites AND databases AND emails from a Direct Admin to a CPanel Host?

I can't even begin to believe how something seemingly so simple - backing up and restoring!!!!! - is damn complicated.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

    LOL
    It can be a pain.
You just keep going and reading and searching and going and drinking and going and then the damn thing finally works

CPanel is easy to set up most everything on.
phpMyadmin you should be familiar with.
DNS and MX records can kick you if you error on them.

    Where are you getting stuck?

I agree, my recommendation is to transfer everything by hand. one account at the time. Full back up down and up.

The thing that made want to move in the first place is in the DirectAdmin site, I can't backup a single site! It's a multiple IP account, and it only backups all the site from one IP at a time! I just wanted to move a site from one IP to another, and that seemingly simple process is seemingly impossible to do. The support sent me to videos where the options shown don't even appear when I try to do them.

I backup and upload one database at a time, and do the same with the files manually. I still have database issues at this time.

Man, I hate this. It's beyond ridiculous how something so simple is so complicated.

My new host has offered to do it for me at $75 an hour... Wow, I'm impressed with the help.
