Win32 API error when using Micro Niche Finder

Hi everyone,

I can't seem to find a solution to this problem. Micro Niche Finder used to work fine until recently. When I run it to perform a search, I get a message saying that it can't connect to the internet (even though my connection is fine). I turned off my firewall to see if that would fix the problem but it didn't. I get the following error messages in the resulting log:

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It's obviously a Win32 API problem. Thanks for any help!

I fixed my own problem. In case this happens to anyone else, the problem was due to Internet Explorer being set to "work offline". Since MNF connects to IE to get its search results (or whatever it does, I'm no techie), I needed to choose the "work online" option so that IE would work, thus enabling MNF to work.

By the way, the MNF support team are great!

not the same problem as you guys, but "Get OCI" doesn't work 70% of the time for me. takes forever and almost always comes back as 'no response'.

Just now encountered this issue and solved it..

Go to internet explorer and check if work offline is checked .
.if so uncheck the same and try again..
        it worked for me
