Automatic anchor text

Hello warriors,

I have a question.

I posted a post in another thread and listed a URL from a website. What happend was that the URL , after submited turned into a beautiful anchor text.

Anyone know how that is done?

I used the URL from indigtalworks.com, maybe then you can see.

I would love to use that technique

You could use cURL to retrieve the url's page contents and then use regex to extract the title. You could then use that title as the anchor automatically.

A little php would do the trick.

    Hi,

Right. First of all, I'm assuming that you aren't just refering to the usual a href tags where you use anchor text? You know how to do that yeah? With what application are you wanting to add this to? What site?

Do you have a site where people can enter plain links, and upon submission you are wanting to create anchor links with, using the title tag?

I just need to work out exactly what you are wanting and in what context.
