need help with changing jpeg-png

analytical tells me to compress my files and change to png..
complete newbie. any suggestions

    On your PC, simply open the images you want to convert in Windows PaintBrush.

    You can call it up by going :

    Start -> Programs->Accessories ->Paint.

    Open the file, then press "save as".

    Then, from the "save as type" drop-down box right at the bottom, simply select PNG as a file type.

    Now press the save button and all is done.
    You now have a PNG version of your image.
