Transfering WP Theme

I have a WP theme that I am trying to use on a couple more of my sites. It is with hostgator. I can locate the theme and select the files, but the only place to zip it to is public html. How do I move a copy of it so I can upload it to my new sites? I appreciate the help.

    If you want to copy the theme to other sites, I recommend downloading the theme folder ( located in /public_html/wp-content/themes/ ) to your computer and then uploading it to the new sites.

    If you mean that your sites are setup as subdomains ( e.g. site1.domain.com ) then you would copy /public_html/wp-content/themes/theme-name to /public_html/subdomain-name/wp-content/themes/ .

    If you mean something else, please reply back with as much detail as you can on what you are doing. For example:
    1) Are your sites on the same hosting account or different accounts?
    2) Are your sites setup as subdomains or in some other manner?
    3) Are you using ftp to upload/download the theme? Or the cpanel file manager? Or something else?

      If you have the theme as a zip file , on your host, jst ftp to your hosting account and grab the zip file to your computer.
      Then unzip it and jst grab the folder with all the theme files in it and upload it to /public_html/wp-content/themes . then the new theme will appear on your word press dashboard under appearance.

    If you have template in your pc in zip form then you can easily copy to your other website.
