Wordpress - no images showing up...

Hi all,

I need to ask for help on this. I have been trying to work it out for the past two days.

I assume the problem came when I installed YAAB plugin, but I can't be sure.

Any new post, or post that has not been auto-posted by YAAB plugin has no images. If I create a new post and upload images - nothing appears on front end, but appears in admin. If I use insert image from URL, same thing. In fact I have tried all methods of insertion. Shows up in admin, but nothing on front end.

When YAAB runs, it has no problem posting images etc.

Examples:
my site is mongzilla-dot-com : the front page has a sticky post/article (written by me). See - no image.

All other articles (with the exception of a post about 12 parsecs tee) are auto generated.

Please help : I'm low on coffee, my three year old isn't entertained by PLayhouse Disney any more, and I think I have got slippers for Xmas again. At least help get my blog running again

    Cant say im familiar with YAAB. did this happen after you started using the plugin? What happens if
    you disable this for the time being, do you see the images again?

    For what its worth, in the page source, the image is referenced as this - which is incorrect.

      I'm nodding in agreement with Chaos69's comment about the URL issue.

      That may be caused by your theme, the plugins, or a glitch in how they interact with your database.

      (I wrote about something similar at my article, "When homepage images don't show up", at my Sites that Soar support website.... I'm just not here long enough to post the article URL, yet.)

      In your situation -- and faced with the disappointment of slippers (again) for Xmas -- I'd contact the hosting service to see if they know about a database issue causing the image URL reference. That's often the cause of the problem, and it may be a two-minute fix on their side of things.

      That plea definitely made my morning... thanks for adding it!

    Thanks for the replies - yep well spotted on that, I was moving stuff about at the time to see if it helped. I.e. putting it in the main uploads folder and changing settings in mainenance settings. Regardless of where it's referenced etc. I get the same issue. Disabling YAAB now to test.

    The plea was heartfelt, but the slippers were a lie my girlfriend thankfully treats me as a 12 year old boy at Xmas, and I get more gadgets and gizmos than I'll ever actually make practical use of! Playhouse Disney, however is the truth. My mornings are now taken up by putting baubles back on the tree, pulling our labrador out of situations no dog should have to endure, and cleaning up various fluids Oliver has decided look better as contemporary art on the few carpets we have left in the house. It's madness, but at least by 4pm I'll have my 9 and 8 year olds at home to help clean up

    I had this problem once, some how the permissions on the uploads folder went wrong, check them make sure wordpress still has permission to access the uploads/ folder

    I'm thinking I may be on to the problem, as was pointed out earlier in the thread. The wp-make pleased shouldn't be there... but I'm tracking down the problem now. Something is inserting it. A rogue plugin methinks...

    Update: BUG FOUND!!!

    I have contacted the owner of the plugin with regards this bug, and before I say for definite what I think it is, I've contacted him to assist (so I don't end up making his software look bad!)

    For some reason, I don't even care if I do get slippers now. Images are back. She can buy me yellow & brown Y fronts for all I care!

    Well, final update. Was unable to reproduce the fault, and the whole blog is working fine now. I spoke with the creator of a plugin I thought to be at fault - but there's been nothing to suggest that it actually WAS the plugin! I am pretty sure it was a global setting I may have changed and created the problem, or running two similar plugins (word spinners and auto posters). Anyway, I'm sorry I can't shed further light on this - its a real doozy
