Help With Forwarding Variables To Personalize A Sales Page

I need some help in forwarding the first name from my capture page on to my sales page. I use Get Response for my autoresponder and I can't seem to figure this out or find a good tutorial to do it. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Peter,

I'm not sure if anyone else on here has already answered this somewhere else but I'm in the middle of writing an ebook on the subject.

Your post has inspired me to finally write it.

The information seems to be hidden on GR where it used to be available prior to their site upgrade.

So hopefully I'll have an answer for you in one of my long winded Tutorials on the subject.

I've emailed GR to see if we can access this hidden information, so should have an answer back shortly.

I have done this in the past, so worst case is I show you that method, but to be safe I'll see if what they have is more up to date than when I last did this.

    Fingers Crossed.

    Cheers
    Tim

    Thanks Tim,

I've been searching all over to find out how to do this. From my limited understanding the "post" and "get" method is the first step to capturing that information... I'm just not sure if I can show that information by using PHP or HTML. One problem I've had with GR is that when I select either the "post" or "get" method it doesn't find my confirmation page.

So I'm not sure what they will say... I hope it's good news and it will help you with your ebook.

Hey Pete, well they did respond...
Page personalization is for advanced users only
who realize how changing these settings may
affect the sites their contacts visit and I'm afraid
we do not provide support or guidance on how to
implement it. I do apologize for the inconvenience
      this might have caused you.
I know they do as I've used it before and wrote a controller in CodeIgniter for it.

Funny that they have options they don't wish to tell anyone about.
The information they used to supply has been "pulled of the shelf"

Anyway I'll dig through "my stuff" assuming its still current and put it in a format you can digest.

      The joys of it all.

      Cheers
      Tim

Just to update this post so it doesn't look like it's fallen into a black hole...

This is being worked on in the background.
Between Eating, Sleeping and other family activities one must do this time of year...

We are at the stage where Peter is setting things up on his Wordpress site and we've just got to check a couple of things.

It's been running nicely on one of my blogs which I used to develop this and the Ebook has been written and it's being reviewed.

I'm hoping Peter is going to doing the "happy dance" soon.
