Take your online scripts offline with Adobe Air

I don't know about you guys but my programming/coding/stuff is generally limited to the online world as that's what I've always done. I often find I can do something as a website but, when it would be much better as a downloadable program - and AIR fixes that.

Basically AIR is a kinda offline web browser thing which supports html, css, javascript and flash. I'm sure you warriors can think of something cool to do with it

It's at on AIR Tour : What is Adobe AIR?

    Hi Christian

I can program Windows applications and I've been looking for something that would allow me to code for both Windows and Mac.

I've seen Air and like it, and I'm going to investigate it further.

There are some nice Air-based apps, Twhirl for Twitter users being one.

    Cheers,

    Neil

I love Adobe Flex, and find that writing an application for Adobe Air is just about as simple as it could possibly be. The ability to write code once and use it everywhere is hardly new, but Air really does try to take the concept to its true conclusion with the same code working online and off, PC or Mac (I don't think there is a Linux Air player yet.)
