Problem transferring a WP blog.....

I am trying to transfer a blog for the first time and after, literally, 8 hours of trying, I am about to cry.

My problem is that when I go to the site, I get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/dforman/public_html/healthyweightlosshub.com/wp-config.php on line 1

I did everything I was supposed to. Backed up the database, downloaded all of the files onto my computer.

Then, I created a new database at the new host. The only thing I had to do different was name it wrdp2 instead of wrdp1 like it was on the old host.

I'm thinking this is my problem.

In the wp-config file, I input wrdp2 as the name, and entered all the other info. I did this in NOTEPAD. I mention this, because every time I save the file after making changes, it loses all formatting, meaning all of the text in the file is in one big lump paragraph, rather than going line by line as it started out.

I have copied and pasted the text from the sample wp-config about 100 times, entered the database info, and then saved it, only to upload it and have that error message come up.

Is there anything ANYONE can tell me to help me fix this?
