How can I make my opt-in page part of a forum's registration process?

Hi,

I was just wondering if I could make my opt-in page part of the
registration process of a forum.

Imagine you're in the warriorforum & you're about to register. You
click on register... and instead of getting the usual registration form,
you'll get the opt-in form or page first. When you fill it up, you will get
the usual registration form.

How can I do this? Is there any forum script that has this feature?

Thanks in advance.

Yes it can be done. If you use a service like Aweber, then you can send the visitor to your normal registration form, and Aweber sends all the signup details through as well..

    A word or warning though..

You may find that a lot of people don't bother signing up, becuase they have to enter their data in twice. I know I hate doing it..

The thought that goes through my mind is

"If they can't get the signup process working smoothly, then they can't run the site properly"

    Anyway, hope this helps

I have been looking for this too recently.

In my case, I want one opt-in process that will simultaneously register them for the forum, and if possible, send them a signup bonus (bribe) only after they have made at least 1 post at the forum of some kind.
