Best way to integrate separate Wordpress themes into one website?

Hey guys,

So i've got a movie site based Wordpress theme. I now want to add more pages, features and a different look and feel for the new pages.(The original theme is not set-up to make the new pages I need...)

So, I'm thinking the fastest (and cheapest ...) way to go about this would be to create subdomains, install a new theme on the subdomains and link them to the new pages of my orginal website.

Is there a quicker way of going about this?

Anyone know of a better way?

Thanks

I think you have two choices:

1 - Use a subdomain or just a subdirectory and install a secomnd instance of WordPress there, with a theme that suits your new pages.

2 - Create additional templates within your existing WordPress theme, and use those templates for your new pages.

Thanks Guys this is definitely reassuring to know that i'm at least within the ballpark of possible solutions at the very least.

I've started and it looks like it may just work out. Will keep ya posted.
      Thanks again!

However, your only other option would be to have a custom built website w/some templates and a backend for you to do articles etc. I'd def spend some time trying to get the wordpress solution.

At the very least you could create sub domains with their own wordpress installation.

I would go for the sub-directory option. There are hosting plans that limit the number of sub-domains that you can have so if you happen to have less sub-domains available than the number of other themes that you want to use then t won't work. On the other hand, I do not know of any hosting plans or services that limit the number of sub-directories that you can set up.

Thanks for the consideration. I actually have Host Gator so there's no issues there regarding limitations (at least for my hosting plan..)
